Becoming a Virtual Assistant was a positive step in my own personal journey. It helped me find a life that I could enjoy and love. Because of my own entrepreneural background, I can relate to my clients and I truly enjoy seeing them become de-stressed and more successful with the help I can provide. Easing their lives is something that is important and very rewarding to me.

My Background. I started my working career as a legal assistant. This gave me a great background in working with deadlines, accuracy and attention to detail, developed my bookkeeping skills and the challenging experience of working with different personalities and expectations.

Eventually I left my life as a legal assistant to become a full time mother. During the first years while my children were small, I owned and operated a small farm full time. I took care of the farm animals, ran the farm machinery and used my skills as an administrator by keeping the farm books. As my children grew older, I added school bus driver to my resume and also was involved with local school programs.

My next life journey transformed my career path into becoming a children's magazine editor and publisher, running my own successful small business. This is where I first began my interest in becoming a VA. Putting a small ad in a local newspaper then launched me into a career as a production assistant for that paper, first virtually, then on-site. What a great experience that was!

Life then led me back to my original career as a legal assistant and paralegal. That position has given me a great background with developing my computer skills, internet and legal research, typing and data entry, word processing, [British Columbia] lawyer's trust accounting. During this time I kept my Virtual Assistant business and slowly built up my clientele until I was happily able to give up my legal assistant career and become a full-time VA.

For several years I was involved with the Vancouver Island Metis Association as Secretary. I also have had some experience working with non-profit associations.

I am passionate about working one-on-one with successful people or people who dream of becoming more successful. I love learning new skills and staying on top of the latest technology while helping successful people achieve their goals. It is so exciting and I look forward to learning something new every day.

Do I know everything? No, who does? But I have the resources to find the answers for you and I am eager to learn whatever I have to to be able to help YOU become more successful.
